Earlier this week a client in Ireland got in touch with a specific requirement for Toolox 44, a pre-hardened engineering and tool steel with a hardness of 45HRC. Toolox 44 is manufactured by SSAB in Sweden. Our clients requirement involved the following dimensions:- 10mm (+0.025mm/-0.025mm) x 187mm (+0.025mm/-0.025mm) x 962mm (+5mm/-0mm) Despite being pre-hardened, Toolox 44 combines very good machinability with dimensional stability during machining.
