Non-standard Dimension in AISI 4130 for Nissan UK 17 April 2015 David We were recently approached by Nissan UK to help source and produce a special requirement that they had for there production line in Sunderland. They required AISI 4130 grade steel machined to the following size:- 7mm (-0.1/-0.2mm) x 19mm (+0.2/-0mm) x 500mm (+5mm/-0) - 60 pieces in total AISI 4130 steel is a low alloy chromium molybdenum (CrMo) steel. It has a lower carbon level than 4140 giving improved weld-ability. It is widely available in the UK as diameters but not as flat bar, requiring us to source it from the United States.
